Mad Hat Media Fundraising Update

Yesterday I’ve reached 49% of my fundraising goal. $1,215.00 achieved – $1,285.00 to go. I’m positive that I will reach my goal for the ride in October.

I haven’t really started training yet but I should! Last weekend I went on a bike cruise with a few girlfriends and we managed to ride 10 kilometers in two hours. It was a relaxed bike ride but the speed would be way too slow!

A few members of my team and I attended an information session a few weeks ago and we learned that the ride starts in Victoria Park, the overnight stay is in Pinjarra and the ride ends back in Victoria Park.

I looked Pinjarra up on a map and the distance scared me a bit. I know it takes me a good hour and 70km by car to go from Fremantle to Mandurah and Pinjarra is even further away!

I am blessed with all the support and positive feedback I get from family, friends and work relations.money-tin

My office space Nest for example is donating all income for two weeks from their snack boxes into my DIY money tin. Nest will repeat this 2-week drive every month till the day of the ride. For new Nesters who sign up between now till 30 June 2013 for the Taking Off and Soaring packages, Nest will donate 5% of their first month’s fees to the ride, too. I thank Mark and all the Nesters for their support!

My team and I are organising a Barefoot Lawn Bowling fundraising event on the 04.08. in South Perth. The bowling club is supporting our fundraiser so more money will go towards our team. Tickets are $30, bowling and an all-you-can-eat sausage sizzle is included in the price. Get in touch if you want to come along!
